Juma's feeling much better, just in time for Christmas morning.
Just now, he asked for something to drink. We've been giving him pedialite (electrolyte solution). But since he's feeling better, I offered him plain water.
He said, "No. That rinses out my salt."
Merry Christmas! And Christmas gift!
(Do I have any Jewish friends reading the blog? If so, Happy Hanukkah, in a few minutes.)
Juma got a Buzz Lightyear warm-up suit, very 1970's retro looking. He also has longish hair, which is unusual for him. A kind of retro '70's look. So he's lounging on the couch, his hair long and unkempt (and unwashed as long as we've been on vacaction), the jacket of his warm-up suit unzipped, no shirt on underneath. All he needs is a thick gold chain to complete the picture.
What have we done?

Hi Justin and Sarah:
It has been fun looking at your site and learning about your life these past few months. Christmas in Texas has been pretty mellow with no visitors from either family. I guess when you live far away you have to go home to see people. Fortunately, my dad and Janette are coming here in January for Sydney's baptism. It is always nice to have them come for a visit. I really liked your entries and pictures. I can't believe how grown up Juma is and I can't believe he already gets to take a bus to school. Jake goes two days a week to pre-school from 9:15 to 2:15 but no bus down here. Have a great holiday season in Utah and congrats on surviving finals.
Thanks for the note, Raleen. I guess you guys know how it is being so far from family. You should start a blog so we can keep up with your family--it's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Email me if you want some tips.
Happy New Year!
